Hi there.

My name is Roger. I live in Melbourne, Australia and I'm a math and science state high school teacher. I"m 40 years old and I've lived and worked in many parts of Australia doing all kinds of jobs from petrol station attendant to sitting on the Board of a federal National Park as an advisor to an Aboriginal organization.

I've been interested in solar power since I was very young. When I saw pictures of satellites with solar panels I was amazed that they could run just off pure sunlight.

I think solar power has an enormous potential to help us through the present and coming energy crises. We can't go on polluting the way we are, and hopefully we'll realize this before we damage the planet beyond repair.

As Nelson Mandela said, "Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world". I believe this applies to the science and other factors behind solar energy. The more we know, the better a position we will be in to make informed decisions as well as being able to work out whether what others are telling us is correct or not.

It is for these reasons that this site goes into a lot of detail regarding the science behind solar energy. There are also science experiments and math help to boost knowledge in these areas, as they are crucial to having a clear understanding about how solar works.

I believe we face either a green, peaceful future or no future at all, and that everything we do works in one of these two directions.

I hope you enjoy this website. If you have found it useful I'd sure appreciate a link from your blog or website. If you want to read about how I made this website, click here.

Regards,

Roger.
