Well that depends on how you use them. If you burn them in an engine, then they are going to make noise; some of the energy in the fuels will be released as sound. If on the other hand you consume them in fuel cells that generate electricity directly there is no noise and far greater efficiency. There are fuel cells that can run on just about any form of liquified fossil fuel.
