Great Effort and Expense?

by Robert Stoick
(Marlette, Michigan)

Why in the world would anyone think that recovering oil is not done without great effort and expense? History has proven that unknown oil sources will be discovered again and again in the future. As technology is invented and improved it will become economically feasible to go after previously unrecoverable oil.

There is so much oil already in reserves that are known to supply the United States with its needs. As these new discoveries and methods of extracting it are developed we will always have enough oil for our needs. When the time comes for a new affordable and efficient alternative energy source, private industries will provide it.

Having our Federal Government get involved in subsidizing these alternative energy sources is a huge mistake and has already led to corruption and a pilfering of our tax dollars. If a new source of energy is viable, let private investment develop it. We have individuals and businesses who will finance any viable alternative energy source without the governments subsidies.

In the meantime, get the environmental wacko's off oil and gas producers backs and government out of their way.

I support global warming. Better for plant life, better for animal life, better for human life. Support life. Burn Fossil Fuels
