Hicks and Nelder "Profit From The Peak"

Authors of the above titled book are currently saying that recent confirmations expose very substantial additional resources of oil sands containing high quality crude oil in the Bakken formation. These discoveries are said to be in addition to similar discoveries described in the above referenced book published in 2008. Can anyone comment on the veracity of these claims or the reliability of Hicks and Nelder as qualified commentators on this subject?
