The New Honda Hybrid CR-Z

honda hybrid The new Honda hybrid CR-Z is well on the way to being released toward the end of 2010. The two seater is designed to appeal to those interested in sporty performance. Honda's intention with this car is that it be purchased on the strength of its performance, not just because it's a green option.

The CR-Z will sport a responsive high revving 140-horsepower 1.8-liter iVTECH gasoline powered engine. The car will have the option of a manual gearbox, another feature sure to lure in the performance minded buyer.

The car is expected to cost between $30,000 and $35,000. Honda has been working to keep production costs down so they can compete with Toyota for the ever growing hybrid vehicle market.
