Hybrid Cars: Greener Transport



Hybrid cars have come a long way in the last 20 years both in terms of image and the technology behind them. They are now a genuine mainstream alternative to cars operating with just internal combustion engines. They offer the performance of the fossil fuel engine and the greatly increased economy of adding electric drive to the vehicle.

They are in a sense a cross over technology between fossil fuel powered vehicles and dedicated electric cars. It's highly likely that the future of private transport will be entirely electric. Meanwhile the mass production of hybrid vehicles is definitely a step in the right direction.

Let's look at some of the proven and emerging models of hybrid vehicles.
