John Wilder

by John Wilder
(Los Angeles CA)

I usually consider the source of information as much as the information its self. I recall in vivid detail in the early 1970's when the so called "Ecologist" were making outrageous chicken little like claims, like "by 1985 at the world's present consumption we will run out of oil". We passed 1985 a long time ago, And then it was "Global Cooling" not Global Warming, the world's oil consumption has more than tripled since then (enter China and India) with no end in sight. What you fail to take into account is the high cost of Government Regulations, Tax's and New Technologies. Fear mongering by creating fake global crisis i.e. "Global Warming" the "Gulf oil Crisis" etc. will not create cleaner / greener energy. If we learned anything from the Gulf oil spill it's things are never as bad as the "Fear Mongers" try and make you think they are and not everything is a "Crisis" The choice is simple.. How much do you want to spend. Oil, Coal, and Natural Gas is much much cheaper than so called Green energy, and when the batteries in your electric car go bad or your fluorescent light bulbs burn out where do you dispose of that waste. Remember there is always a cost.
