Math Problems with Addition: Take it to the Next Level

These free download math problems sheets focus on building addition skills from the simple levels covered previously. These problems use the same approach of writing out the question and then answering it. Carrying is extended to more than just a one, otherwise these problems are no more difficult than those covered in the basic maths worksheets on addition.

If your child is able to complete these sheets successfully you will have laid a solid foundation for ongoing success in the basics of addition problem solving. This is a worthy goal that will have long term positive effects on your child's education.

The following sheets scale up in difficulty. As always, it is recommended that your child does NOT write on the sheet but rather reproduces the sum, exactly as shown on the sheet, in her exercise book.

Even if your child is confident with addition I suggest you work through these sheets in order, so that the greatest amount of practice of addition skills is attained.
