Solar Pool Heat Reader

The solar pool heat thermometer is quite simply a floating waterproof thermometer. It works on the same principal as other solar pool and garden solar gadgets.

The device is small and light weight, so even if it becomes a projectile toy for your children it is unlikely to cause injury.

How Useful Is It?

If you want to be able to see the water temperature at a glance and can't stop to dip your toe in, then this device will serve some function. Apart from that it's really just a bit of a novelty. It's not able to be connected to any heating system for the pool. Any decent pool heating system will have a thermostat built in anyway.

If you buy a device like this the advice is the same as always: check the warranty first and keep your receipt in case you need to return it.
