Solar Rope Lights

Solar rope lights are a more durable and easier to manage form of outdoor solar lighting that works on the same principle as fairy or Christmas lights. The lights are a collection of Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) connected in series, meaning one after another like a chain. The lights are powered by a battery that is charged during the day by a solar panel.The string of lights is then encased in a plastic tube. Depending on the quality of the unit you buy, the tube may well be weather and water proof. The plastic tube has the added benefit of preventing the string of lights becoming a tangled mess and so they are easier to put up and pack away. LED rope lights are superior to the older versions that used tiny incandescent bulbs. The LEDs have a very long lifespan, they produce brighter light and they use less power, meaning that your solar lights will shine for longer once the sun goes down. Remember To CheckRemember to check the weatherproof claims of the manufacturer, the length of the warranty and the quality of the battery included with the unit. A cheap battery will almost certainly need replacing very quickly, so paying a little more for a better quality set may prove cheaper in the long run.
