The lights in the flower heads are LEDs. These use far less electricity than incandescent bulbs so the tulip set is capable of operating all night, depending of course on the amount of sun the base received during the day. The lights can be set to twinkle in a couple of patterns or to shine continuously.The stems can be bent any which way, though you will need to be careful to balance the unit properly.
